Exhausted and Unmotivated? This Simple Mindset Shift Helped Me Keep Going

My daughter has been sick since Friday. That’s five nights of broken sleep, and honestly, I feel like I’ve gone back to the newborn stage all over again. Mornings have been tough. Getting out of bed feels like climbing a mountain, and most days start slower than I’d like.

Motivation? If I’m honest—it’s been hard to find.

So instead of trying to push through at full speed, I’ve shifted my focus to small wins. Cooking dinner. Getting to the gym. Making a couple of sales calls. Clearing a few emails. Just one thing at a time. And if I don’t get through everything I normally would? That’s okay.

What I’ve learned is that small wins matter most when life feels heavy. They may not seem like much in the moment, but they stack up. They build confidence, momentum, and resilience. And one day, you look back and realise those little steps carried you further than you thought possible.

  • You don’t have to be perfect. You just have to keep going.
  • Effort counts more than talent.
  • It’s okay to pause and rest—as long as you get back up.

Every step counts. And tomorrow, when you look back, you’ll be proud you didn’t stop.

👉 Your turn: What’s one small win you can focus on today? Share it with me—I’d love to hear it.
