Today I got a message from a friend who is going through a rough time.
There’s a lot happening in her world right now. In her message, she told me she was “so broken.”
To set the scene — my friend is one of the kindest, most caring, intelligent, loving, hard-working, beautiful-souled people I know. I love her deeply. I admire her. I look up to her. I don’t think words could ever fully capture how incredible she is.
So hearing her describe herself that way hurt my heart.
Because she’s not alone — I’ve felt like that before too. Maybe you have as well.
Have you ever felt broken? Not good enough? Not worthy? Or found yourself speaking harshly to yourself in ways you’d never speak to someone you love?
Here’s what I said to her and want you to hear too: You are PERFECT exactly as you are. 💛
Think about this…
Would you ever look at a newborn baby, a toddler, or a child and tell them they are broken?
Of course not. I could never imagine saying that to my son or daughter.
And you were that baby once.
You arrived in this world perfect — whole, worthy, enough.
Which means you still are today.
Life throws bumps, storms, and seasons at us. But none of that is a reflection of your worth. I truly believe that God, the universe, or whatever higher power you trust, wouldn’t place something on your path unless you had the strength and capacity to rise through it.
Even when it feels impossible in the moment, every tough season I’ve lived through has eventually revealed something — growth, clarity, resilience, or a new direction.
Life really does happen for you, not to you. 💫
So if you’re in a hard chapter right now, please hold on.
You are not broken — you are becoming.
You are not failing — you are unfolding.
And you are far, far stronger than you think.
Sending you so much love 💛✨
