We all go through seasons when everything feels heavy. When motivation is low and life seems stuck. I’ve been there — feeling disappointed, frustrated, lost.
One of my hardest moments came when I missed out on a promotion and found myself stuck in a job I didn’t enjoy. I felt like I’d failed. But what helped me climb out wasn’t luck — it was what I began feeding my mind.

Day after day, I turned on positive, inspiring podcasts. I tuned into real people’s stories. I listened while cooking dinner, driving, going for a walk, or sometimes just before I fell asleep. Over time, my mindset changed. My confidence slowly came back. I started seeing possibilities again.
Here’s what I learned — and what I believe so deeply:
What we listen to and read shapes how we think, feel, and act.
Positive content doesn’t always give you all the answers. But it helps build resilience. It helps you navigate stress. It helps you stay focused on what matters.
Below are ten podcasts I recommend.
#1 The Skinny Confidential Him & Her Show

What I love: This show is a wonderful mix — health, mindset, relationships, business, and everyday life.
What I get out of it:
- Practical ideas for balancing work, family, and self-care.
- Sound, no-nonsense advice for living well — even when life is chaotic.
- A reminder that caring for myself matters just as much as caring for everyone else.
- Permission to have holistic goals: health + career + relationships + happiness.
What I love most is how real Lauryn and Michael are. They’re open about their struggles, their wins, and the messy parts in between. It reminds me that I’m not alone — there are so many women (and men) thinking, feeling, and navigating the same things I am.
#2 The Ed Mylett Show

What I love: Honest conversations about success, discipline, confidence, and stepping up into your potential.
What I get out of it:
- Motivation to push when I feel stuck or discouraged.
- New ways to see “failure” — not as an end, but as a stepping stone.
- A mindset of “what’s next?” instead of “why me?”
This is one I lean on especially when I feel alone in my dreams — when I’m working hard, giving my all, and still feel misunderstood. Listening to Ed reminds me that this season is normal. Growth can be lonely. Big goals can feel heavy.
Through his interviews — and especially his solo episodes — I’m reminded that the discomfort is part of the process. That the uncertainty means I’m stretching. And that the hard days don’t mean I’m doing it wrong… they usually mean I’m doing something right.
#3 The D8 Training Podcast

What I love: This is my very own podcast, and I absolutely love sharing real stories about training, mindset, health, family, and life. I get to talk with everyday people who are doing the work, learning, growing, and showing what’s possible. Their journeys teach us all something.
What I get out of it:
- Honest reflections on balancing parenting, career, health, and business.
- Authentic encouragement from people who are walking the same path.
- A strong sense of community — a reminder that feeling overwhelmed is normal, and that every season can still lead to growth.
This show keeps me grounded and connected. It motivates me to live with purpose and integrity, and it reminds me why I love what I do. Listening to others share their wins and struggles and sharing what has worked for our clients and me energises me and keeps me inspired to keep helping people become stronger in every part of their lives.
#4 The Mel Robbins Podcast

What I love: Straight talk. Real tools. No fluff. Just action and clarity.
What I get out of it:
- Simple, practical advice for building confidence and taking control.
- Motivation to break the “I’ll do it tomorrow” cycle and start today.
- Reminders to trust myself and move forward — even if it feels scary.
Mel’s no-nonsense voice often gives me the inner push I didn’t know I needed. She normalises the feelings I’ve struggled with — self-doubt, uncertainty, worrying about not fitting in, and the fear of disappointing others. But what I love most is that she doesn’t just talk about the problem — she gives practical tools to move through it, like her “Let Them” approach.
When I listen to her, I often feel like she’s speaking directly to me. And that feeling alone can be incredibly powerful.
#5 The Tony Robbins Podcast

What I love: Big-picture thinking. Life, leadership, business, growth — all rolled into one.
What I get out of it:
- Deep insight into what truly drives success in business, relationships, and personal growth.
- Practical tools to sharpen my purpose and set meaningful, aligned goals.
- A mindset shift — from surviving to thriving.
I’ve completed many of Tony’s courses and read his books, and he has truly helped shape the person I am today. This man is a legend in my eyes. When I listen to Tony during my darker moments, he helps lift me out of overwhelm and reconnect me with hope.
One of the biggest lessons he has taught me is that giving is one of the secrets to living. His words remind me of my “why,” bring me back to what truly matters, and help me lead with purpose — even when life feels heavy.
#6 The Goal Digger Podcast

What I love: Real talk about goals, habits, confidence, and building a life you love.
What I get out of it:
- Inspiration to set bigger, bolder goals.
- Practical steps — one at a time — to build habits that matter.
- Reminders that growth is a process, and that small steps done consistently change lives.
This podcast reminds me that working on myself isn’t selfish — it’s essential, especially as a mother. I love how Jenna helps shift me out of “just doing” and constantly ticking things off the list. She encourages me to spend my time on what actually matters, what creates impact, and what moves my life forward in a meaningful way.
#7 The Tim Ferriss Show

What I love: Deep interviews with top performers from business, sports, arts, science and beyond.
What I get out of it:
- Insight into the routines, habits, and mindsets that help high-achievers thrive.
- Fresh ideas for better productivity, better rest, better living.
- A broadened view — I’m learning from people I’d never meet otherwise.
Listening to Tim Ferriss reminds me that “normal” doesn’t have to stay “normal.” There are always better, smarter, more intentional ways to live. His conversations encourage me to create a version of “normal” that actually works for me and my family.
#8 Money Mastery with Marshy

What I love: Real, practical, no-judgment conversations about money, mindset, and building a stable future.
What I get out of it:
- Simple financial wisdom that helps me plan with clarity and confidence.
- A healthier view of money — not as stress, but as a tool.
- Encouragement to make smart choices, even when life feels chaotic.
This podcast helps me feel grounded and empowered to build for the long run. Daniel has a down-to-earth way of speaking, and I love how he brings on everyday people to share simple, practical stories about money and life. His conversations make financial growth feel achievable, not overwhelming, and they remind me that anyone can make progress with the right guidance.
#9 The School of Greatness

What I love: Inspiring stories from people who’ve built great lives through effort, mindset, and purpose.
What I get out of it:
- Hope — real stories of overcoming adversity and thriving.
- Perspective — hearing from people who’ve faced far bigger challenges, yet still rose.
- Encouragement to keep going, even when things feel small.
This podcast reminds me that greatness isn’t always glamorous — sometimes it’s quiet, steady, intentional growth.
#10 On Purpose with Jay Shetty

What I love: Deep conversations about purpose, relationships, mental health, and growth.
What I get out of it:
- Insight into living more mindfully and meaningfully.
- Comfort in knowing I’m not alone in my thoughts, doubts, or hopes.
- Clarity about what really matters — family, values, inner calm.
When I feel overwhelmed by noise, this podcast helps me reconnect with my heart.
The Habit That Changed Everything
Listening to positive podcasts doesn’t feel like a big commitment. I do it while I drive, fold laundry, cook dinner, or take a walk. Sometimes it’s 10 minutes. Sometimes it’s 40. But daily? It adds up.
Bit by bit, mindset changes. Confidence returns. Energy builds. Purpose becomes clearer.
What you feed your mind today shapes who you become tomorrow.
