With Mother’s day approaching I use this time to reflect on myself as a mother. One question I ask myself is how does me working affect my kids? In the past, I have felt guilty for working and wondered if I work too much and what effect this will have on the kids.

Working, enjoying work and building success benefits your children as Elena Cardone recently shared in her newsletter:
A few years back, a global research team discovered something interesting about kids with working mothers. They found that if a child’s mother was succeeding in their career or business… That child would grow up to earn significantly more than those with non-working mothers. Not only that… These children were way more comfortable defining themselves as leaders.
By working you are helping your children be more ambitious, more motivated, and more optimistic about what they can achieve. This is because they see what’s possible. As Tim Ferris says:

No matter what your job or business is you can achieve success whether you are a cleaner, shop attendant or executive. What is important is how you show up to work, your attitude and how you grow and progress in the role as this is what the children see and mimic.
Help show your kids what is possible so that they can go out and achieve greatness too. You are amazing and have a lot to share with the world. Hope you have a Happy Mother’s Day!
