Here are 5 Tips when travelling with Kids on a Cruise Ship:
1. Bring Magnetic Hooks for your Cabin
Travelling on cruises in tiny cabins with kids can be quite messy. Stuff goes everywhere. The ship’s walls are magnetic, so bring along some magnetic hooks to place anywhere you like on the walls to hang things like hats, lanyards, (I’m always losing my lanyard) etc. This will help keep belongings off the floor or cluttering the small dressing table.
2. Bring Containers to Pack Snacks from the Buffet
Keeping the kids feed and watered is always one of the top priorities. When doing any onshore cruise excursions be sure to pack a few plastic containers and fill up from the buffet for the day to keep the kid’s hunger away.
3. Register Early for Kids Club
On cruises, register your child at the kids club as one of the first priorities, as some ships have a limit as to how many kids can attend. Also, once registered and kids want to attend the kids club ensure you find out if that cruise does get a very busy kids club as you may need to wait with your child 15 minutes prior to them opening to ensure they have a place.

4. Prebook Everything you Can Before you Leave Home
Pre-book everything before you leave home; such as shows and excursions in advance to avoid disappointment and any delays. Keep copies of all your bookings handy when travelling. Occasionally there will be bookings that will need further follow-up.
5. Buy Souvenir Keyrings
Before you leave buy a dozen or so souvenir keyrings from your own country so when abroad and gorgeous situations arise where you and your kids meet new people along the way, give them a keyring. It is always such a hit, people feel very touched and you’re teaching your kids how to be generous at the same time.
