In today’s world, the constant stream of news about potential dangers facing our children can feel overwhelming. The thought of our kids navigating the world on their own often triggers anxiety in many parents. I often worry about whether, as they grow older and venture out on their own, they will be able to steer clear of the harsh realities of life.

However, there is a powerful yet subtle way to protect them that doesn’t require constant supervision: managing and influencing their energy.

The law of attraction, which states that like attracts like, applies to people’s energy levels too. By fostering a high vibration of positive energy in our children, we can help them attract positive people and experiences while repelling negativity.

By raising confident, empowered, and happy children who do not depend on external validation, they will naturally attract and be surrounded by like-minded friends.

I have experienced this personally; as my own vibration has increased, I have attracted people into my life who better serve and match me. Looking back, some of the acquaintances I had when I was younger wouldn’t be part of my life today due to their attitudes and lifestyles, which reflected the low self-worth I had at the time.

Children who regularly maintain a high level of positive energy are generally more resilient when dealing with life’s challenges. With determination and a positive mindset, we can overcome obstacles and build strong, fulfilling relationships with our children.

Monitoring our children’s energy levels is crucial as they grow and develop. But how can we assess and improve their energy?

Here are five key areas to evaluate and enhance your child’s energy:

Ensure your child gets the recommended amount of sleep for their age. Establish a consistent sleep routine to help them rest adequately.

Provide a balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Good nutrition fuels the body and supports overall energy levels.

One thing I make sure to do, even though it takes more effort, is to provide them with a protein-rich breakfast to fuel them for the entire day. Every morning, I prepare an egg dish for breakfast. On days when they have cereal and not enough protein, I’ve noticed they get hungrier faster and their moods become more unstable.

Encourage regular physical activity. Find activities they enjoy, such as sports, dancing, or cycling, to keep them moving and energised.

Currently the kids and I enjoy going to the local school to play netball, hand ball, soccer or made up obstacle courses around the playground. We do this 2-3 times a week in addition to their organised sports to stay active. It’s a great way for me to stay active as well and to keep them off their tech devices.

Help your child manage stress through healthy practices such as meditation, breathing exercises, or conversations with trusted adults. The key is to guide them in changing their state and shifting their focus.

Exercise is also a great stress reliever. For instance, when my daughter Chloe had a tough day at school, she attended her gymnastics class, which she loves, and came out of it happy and relaxed.

Cultivate a positive mindset in your child by encouraging them to focus on their strengths, practice gratitude, and set achievable goals to boost their confidence and energy.

Every evening before dinner, we take turns sharing what we are grateful for, followed by a prayer. This practice helps us appreciate all we have and fosters a positive outlook.

Taking a proactive approach in monitoring and enhancing your child’s energy levels can lead to the development of healthy habits.

Together, we can help our children improve their energy and reach their full potential. Remember, positive energy attracts positive outcomes, so let’s maintain and encourage high vibrations throughout the week!
