As my children get older I am loving playing board games with them. We can have hours of fun with laughter and friendly banter as we play.
Here are Top 5 Classic Board Games every house needs to have.
1. Uno
At the moment this is our family favourite. I was amazed when my then 4-year-old was able to pick this up quickly.
We can play for hours and days on end, whether it be individually or on teams, it is guaranteed that we will be laughing at some point during the game especially when someone needs to draw 4.
Remember to call UNO! when you have one card left.
2. Guess Who
Who will guess the winner? A fun game of trying to guess the mystery player your opponent has.
We play Guess Who in teams (one parent one child vs another parent and children) or individually. My daughter has a favourite person, so we always know the first round against her is an easy win. My son loves that his name is featured. Can you guess what his name is?
3. Jenga

Who will be the one to crash the tower first? A game of skill, strategy and luck.
Kids love playing Jenga both alone and together as they experiment and take risks to see what will make the tower fall.
4. Twister
Twist and bend your body while staying stable. This game has definitely improved my yoga flexibility.
Twister is a classic with kids, and always fun going over the top or under each other. I must admit this game is even better after a few drinks with adults who dare to play.

5. Monopoly

Lastly to finish monopoly. The game that doesn’t end.
My favourite part of playing Monopoly is watching the kids buy properties and houses, with no fear or financial worries. This is usually why they win the game. Maybe I need to start doing more of that in my life.
