📚 My 5 Favourite Books to Build Confidence in 2025 (That I Keep Going Back To)

I get asked a lot about what I read or listen to that helps me stay focused, driven, and confident—especially on the tough days. So I wanted to share something a little more personal with you.

These aren’t just books I recommend…
They’re books I love. Books I’ve read or listened to multiple times. Books I turn to when I need a mindset reset, a reminder of my worth, or a bit of a kick up the backside.

If you’re working on backing yourself more—whether it’s in the gym, at work, or in your everyday life—these five books will lift you up and remind you what you’re capable of.

This one hit me hard—in the best way. Jamie shares so openly about her struggles with self-worth, and her honesty is raw, real, and beautifully human. The first time I read this book, something clicked—I realised I wasn’t alone in how I was feeling. That constant inner voice questioning whether I was “enough”? It turns out so many of us carry that.

This book helped me see that the thoughts we have are more common than we think—and more importantly, they don’t define us. It’s a powerful reminder to start treating yourself with the same love and belief you give to everyone else.

Why I love it: It helped me reconnect with my self-worth and gave me language for emotions I hadn’t quite figured out how to name.

I’ve read this more than once, and every time it fires me up. Tim Grover coached legends like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan, and trust me—he doesn’t hold back. This book is all about grit, drive, and refusing to settle. It’s raw, intense, and exactly what you need when you’re chasing big goals.

What really stuck with me is this: reaching an elite level doesn’t happen by accident. It takes discipline. Sacrifice. And a decision to keep going when most people would quit. Confidence isn’t given—it’s earned, one choice at a time.

Why I love it: It reminds me that I get to choose how far I go—and if I want more, I have to work for it. No excuses.

#3 Radical Confidence by Lisa Bilyeu

Lisa’s story is incredibly powerful—she went from feeling lost and unsure to co-founding a billion-dollar company. This book is honest, funny, practical, and full of those “aha” moments that stop you in your tracks.

When I read it, it made me pause and ask: Am I living the life I truly want? Or am I just ticking boxes based on what society expects? It challenged me to rethink some big areas of my life—and to make sure I was choosing for me.

Why I love it: It’s like having a big sister who’s walked the tough path, cheering you on and giving you no-nonsense advice to go after the life you actually want.

#4 Daring Greatly by Brené Brown

This book changed everything for me. It helped me understand that true strength isn’t about having it all together—it’s about showing up, even when it’s hard. Not just in leadership, but in my relationships, parenting, and day-to-day life.

I’ve re-read this book (and a few of Brené’s others) more times than I can count. Every time, I’m reminded to soften, to be more open, and to let go of the need to always have my guard up. It’s helped me be more present and real—with my family, my team, and myself.

Why I love it: Brené gives words to the things we often feel but struggle to say. Her work helped me grow from the inside out.

Marie is an absolute vibe—her energy is contagious and uplifting. This book has helped me get out of my own way more times than I can count. The idea that everything is figureoutable has stuck with me ever since, and it’s become a mindset I use in business, parenting, and life. No matter what the challenge is, there’s always a way forward.

One part that completely changed things for me was when she talked about being multi-passionate. That hit home. I realised I didn’t have to choose one path to be successful. I could embrace it all and still thrive.

Why I love it: It’s light, fun, and packed with real-world tools. Plus, the title alone is a powerful reminder that you can figure everything out—one step at a time.

These books have shaped the way I think, train, lead, and live. I go back to them often—especially when I need to be reminded of my own strength and potential.
